Welcome to the first day of Blogmas everyone! I know it's the first already so really we should all have our advent calendars ready in some form or another but, if you're anything like me you might well have forgotten. So, I thought I'd kick off this month of Christmas posts with a few quick and easy DIY Advent Calendar ideas.

1. Tissue Paper and Stickers

Possibly the easiest of the lot this first idea just involves buying 24 gifts suitable for the recipient and wrapping them in tissue paper. You can stick the last fold down with a pretty Christmas sticker and it will look like you've put a tonne of effort in. The gifts you choose don't have to be huge and expensive you could easily just do a bar of chocolate a day.

2. Advent Bags

This is similar to the first idea but instead this time buy a pack of plain paper bags and you can decorate them with Christmas designs. This is a great one to get the kids involved with making and you can fill it over night and tell the elves popped presents in the bags for them. When it's all finished just peg or tie the bags on a piece of strong string/twine and hang it across a wall somewhere in the house!

3. A Wooden Advent Calendar

Although not strictly DIY as you buy the actual calendar ready made, it does last years and you can put any treats you like in it. However, I do think these these wooden calendar severely limit you when it comes to the size of the treat as a lot of them don't even fit a lollipop. You'd definitely have to keep that in mind if you went with this option.
