Rimmel Lasting Finish is one of the most popular high coverage foundations in the drugstore so, naturally, a new Lasting Finish Foundation has got the beauty community talking. I picked mine up several weeks ago from Savers, before it was available in Superdrug and I've been testing it out ever since. The huge doe-foot style applicator reminds me of the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation which I really want to try out.

The formula of this foundation is very lightweight but it gives a decent medium coverage and can be built up a little without looking cakey. For me personally it's not quite enough coverage though and I'd definitely pick the original Lasting Finish over this one. That being said, if you aren't about that full coverage look this might be for you.

It has that classic Rimmel foundation scent which personally I don't find to be an issue but I know some of you prefer fragrance free, particularly if you have sensitive skin. I did find that this lasted well but I can't speak on the 25hr claim as I never wear my makeup for that long, I mean, do any of us?

Although this isn't a day to day go to for me I do like it on no makeup, makeup days. What I have found myself using for most often though is concealer. I find it really lightweight and quite brightening under my eyes and it works really well teamed with a little of my usual concealer.

It's definitely been a hit with me and I'd recommend giving it a try if you're into medium coverage, lightweight and non cakey foundations.
