It's favorites time again and I've got some great things to share with you all! First up is this T-Zone Charcoal & Bamboo Black Peel Off Mask. This really works wonders for pulling all the gross stuff out of any problem areas you might have I like to use it over my nose and problem pore areas. I also find this one less abrasive and painful than some of the more hardcore alternatives. Its available now from superdrug.com for £4.99.

Next up are some new favourites for creating a great makeup base! If you saw my September Love Me Beauty unboxing you'll know that I got a bunch of Gatineau skincare products. I'm going to post a full review of the products I received but I just had to mention a couple of them here. The Gatineau Perfection Ultime Resurfacing Beauty Cream is magic in a jar for anyone who struggles with uneven texture. I use it every day, morning and night and I'll be devastated when it runs out. However if you use it before makeup I'd make sure it is well before you are applying your base becasue it made my makeup slide around and separate.
The product I DO like to apply before my makeup is the Gatineau Collagene Expert Ultimate Smoothing Serum as it evens out the skin, hydrates and leaves skin tacky allowing makeup to adhere and last longer. These are higher priced items but they definitely work. Both are available now from gatineau.co.uk.

The other two products I've been loving for creating my base look are the Maybelline Matte & Poreless Foundation and the Makeup Revolution Ghost Finish Baking Powder. This foundation is magical, and yes I know I'm late to the party on this one. I debated on buying it for a while becasue Maybelline foundations are not something I've bought often but I will certainly be looking to try more after this! I really struggle with foundations settling into my pores around me nose rather than covering them up but this just glides right over and fills them in. Also a MUST for anyone who is oily!
The baking powder is also amazing, Again, it doesn't settle into pores or look cakey. It also doesn't give any white-cast or flashback on me personally, it might be different for those of you with darker skin than me but they have brought out a range of these loose powders now and have, I believe, four shades now - Ghost Finish, Lace, Banana and Terracotta. It is very fine and definitely keeps makeup in place, helping prevent any sliding around. The foundation is currently £6.99 on superdrug.com, I have the shade 110 Porcelain and the Baking Powder was £5.00 on superdrug.com but is apparently being repackaged at the moment, However it should be back soon and I'll be sure to update you on Twitter (@AwkwardPBlog) or Snapchat (awkwardpblog). In the meantime the other loose setting powders are still available on superdrug.com for £5.00

Finally, lets talk lips. Autumn/Winter has come back around and although this is MY favourite time of year my lips don't tend to like it at all so I've cracked out the trusty Carmex again. I'm currently using a Peach and Mango one in the house and a Strawberry on in my handbag. This stuff works wonders on dry, cracked lips, It's an absolute must have for these cold months. It is widely available in supermarkets and drugstores and is also on superdrug.com. Currently if you buy three skincare products on superdrug.com you get a free Carmex Duo in a cute little bag and on the card around this you also get a discount coupon to spend on any Carmex product at Superdrug in store!
The last thing I want to mention is the PMD Kiss Lip Plumping System. A full review of this is coming very soon but I did want to give it a spot in my favourites as it has become something I use semi-regularly. I am obsessed with this and I honestly didn't think I would be. Now, it's not necessarily the fuller lips I love but the fact that as it plumps up your lips it evens out any fine lines on them. This is a lifesaver for me as I hate applying Matte Liquid Lipsticks and seeing them settle into those lines. Definitely a great product but be warned it does have a hefty price tag!
Well that's it for another month of favorites but be sure to subscribe if you don't want to miss any future blog posts! Don't forget you can also add me on snapchat - awkwardpblog - and follow me on Twitter - @AwkwardPBlog - for real-time updates, unboxings, hauls and more!
