Excuse the badly lit photo but today we are talking about the Asda Skin System 3-in-1 Tea Tree Mask, Scrub and Cleanser which I picked up as part of a 3 for 2 offer the other day. If you've followed my blog then you'll already know that I am obsessed with face masks so when I spotted this I figured why not give it a try?

The first thing I noticed about this mask was that it was very thick, almost kind of difficult to get of the squeezy tube it comes in, which means it works best as a mask. It applies nicely and doesn't take too long to dry. When you rinse the mask off you are also able to exfoliate the face thanks to the 'scrub' factor or it does also work as a regular tea tree scrub on it's own. As far as it being a cleanser goes I disagree, its a scrub or a mask as a cleanser wouldn't usually have little scrubby bits in.

I does sting in places when you first apply it but that is actually it doing its job as tea tree is antibacterial so it gets rid of all the nasty bacteria that will cause breakouts if left. I wouldn't advice using it if you have dry skin as it is aimed more at those with oily/combo skin and it is a little bit drying, sucking up all the oil from the skin. However, if you were suffering a particularly bad breakout you could probably get away with applying it only to the affected area and using moisturizer afterwards.

I also picked up the Skin System Mattifying Tea Tree Moisturizer and the Skin System Tea Tree Foaming Face Wash in the same deal. These two products are also both aimed at oily/combo skin. The face wash is not dissimilar to other tea tree foaming face washes out there, I tend to use it daily to keep breakouts at bay. I really like the moisturizer it works really well on my skin and it also works great as a primer before makeup as it features glycerin, leaving the face tacky and therefore helping makeup stay put longer.

All in all it is a decent mask and scrub, certainly not my favorite but it's good for anyone on a budget as all three products are just £2 each and they really do help keep breakouts at bay. Available now from groceries.asda.com or in store at Asda.
