LA Girl Faves & Fails!

I thought I'd start a new series of blog posts going over my faves, fails and wish list of specific brands and what better brand to start with than LA Girl?! Before I start I just want to be clear and say that just becasue a product is a fail for me personally doesn't mean it won't work for other people. We all have different skin types and varying skin issues so different makeup products apply and last differently on all of us. I'll start with my faves and first up is the first product I ever tried by LA Girl - The LA Girl Pro Conceal Concealers. These quickly became a favorite of mine, as they have with many beauty bloggers and youtubers. The formula is excellent. It applies smoothly, has full coverage and lasts all day without creasing up or going all gross. They provide a huge range of shades, something for every skin tone, and even have a range of color correctors. I use the lightest shade to conceal and I use a dark, cool toned shade to contour. I love them so much I have already repurchased several times and need to do so again ASAP as I am about to run out. I definitely recommend picking a few of these up!

Another solid favorite of mine is the LA Girl Pro Prep HD Smoothing Primer. I don't use it all over my face as it is a pore filling, silicone primer and I prefer to only use those where they are needed. However it does help makeup stay in place and it smoothes right over those troublesome pores. It is also super affordable for the quality of the product, my only wish is that it came in a bigger size. Overall I would recommend for anyone who suffers with large pores and oily skin.

The third and final favorite I'm going to mention are the LA Glide GLide Gel Liners. These are amazing! They glide on easily, are highly pigmented and don't fade or smudge throughout the day. They are super affordable and probably one of my favorite, if not my absolute favorite, liners. I highly recommend you picking up a few shades, I know I want the whole collection and I'm sure you all will too once you try them.

Okay, now for the fails. I only have two and its not actually the quality of the products that I dislike I just found that they weren't really for me. First is the Super Mega Mascara. This mascara just didn't work out for me, I thought it was going to be really lengthening and volumising but it really wasn't. It gives more of a natural look and that's just not what I go for in a mascara. The Second fail is the Budes Beauty Brick Eyeshadow Palette. Don't get me wrong these are decent eyeshadows with relatively good pigmentation but a few shades give quite a bit of fall out and the shades in this palette just weren't my style.

Finally, I want to mention a couple of products that I have my eye on. The first thing I want to pick up is the LA Girl Pro Coverage Foundation which looks amazing and when I do pick it up I'll post a full review for you guys! I also, being a highlighter addict, have my eye on the Strobe Light Strobing Powders which look so pretty and come in a whole range of shades. There is something for every skintone but, being pale as snow, only the lightest shades will work for me. However, I'll probably end up picking up other shades if I like them as I can always use them for doing other peoples makeup.
