Caudalie Instant Detox Mask vs Loreal Pure Clay Detox Mask
In May's Love Me Beauty bag I received a serious amount of products so I've decided to do separate reviews of some of the products, one of which is this Caudalie Instant Detox Face Mask which claims to 'deeply cleanse' and 'minimize pores'.
If you've seen any of my other blog posts or follow me on social media then you'll know that I am absolutely obsessed with face masks and my current fave is, and has been since it came out, the Loreal Pure Clay Detox Mask. So, I thought instead of just reviewing this Caudalie mask I'd also let you know how it compares to the Loreal one.
The first thing that I noticed was the packaging. Although the Caudalie packaging is really simple natural looking and cute - I love the cap - I definitely prefer the jar that the Loreal comes in, just because it's a bit more sleek and it feels far more luxe. The Caudalie mask does have a scent but it isn't that strong and it certainly isn't unpleasant.
As far as detoxifying and deeply cleansing the skin I think both masks do exactly what they claim to do, however I don't think that the Caudalie mask minimizes pores at all. They both leave the skin feeling clean, tight and smooth. I get a lot of issues with texture on my face and I find that either of these masks will get rid of that after just one use. Neither of the masks are overly drying but as they are both detox masks I would recommend applying moisturizer after using them. I also wouldn't recommend over using any detox mask if you suffer with dry skin, there are a lot of moisturizing masks out there and both Loreal and Caudalie do ones if you want to try the same brands.
Okay, lets talk price. The Loreal Pure Clay Detox Mask is available in most supermarket skincare departments, Boots, Superdrug and Savers, among others. The price for this masks varies from place to place but in my experience you can get your hands on it for somewhere between £3.99 and £6.99. The Caudalie mask on the other hand is £22.00 and is available online from Look Fantastic, Feel Unique and Cult Beauty.
They are both very good masks that I like a lot but due to the availability and the price difference I have to say the Loreal one wins for me, because essentially they both do exactly the same job just as well as one another.
